Manchester's Albert Square is a public space dominated by the impressive Grade I listed Victorian Gothic Town Hall. The square is surrounded by buildings from the same period.
The square was named after Prince Albert, Prince consort of Queen Victoria, a large memorial monument is featured. The area is often used for markets and festivals, most notably the centre-piece of Manchester's Christmas Market is annually installed here.
